Environmental Compliance

Virtus can perform environmental site assessments (ESA) for clients and lending institutions prior to the transaction of a property in conformance with the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) standards.  Performing and ESA prior to a real estate transaction may limit the potential liability for the prospective owner or lending institution from being named as a responsible part due to existing or past land use on or adjacent to the prospective property.  The purpose of the ESA is to identify existing hazardous substance or contamination and document remediation activities associated with the property.  Virtus can also assist clients with the compilation and completion of environmental permits, reporting forms, and prevention programs such as, but not limited to:
